What is a corporate mission statement for?


Only those who know where the journey is going can set the sails optimally and use the wind to their advantage.

A mission statement is like a
lighthouse. It ensures that everyone on board knows the direction and has a clear goal in mind.

A mission statement

  • describes the self-image and basic principles of an organization,
  • serves as a compass and decision-making aid for company management and employees,
  • conveys to everyone in the team the meaningfulness of tasks,
  • strengthens awareness of corporate identity, goals and strategies,
  • increases employee motivation and identification,

The mission statement is a target state.
